APRIL 2022 NEWSLETTER

Hello creative humans!

I’m glad you’re here. If you’re brand-new to our community, welcome! I can’t wait to meet you soon.

First and foremost, thank you for being a part of our organization! We ended the month with a happy hour meet and greet at Grand Prize Bar. It was wonderful to spend time with so many familiar faces while meeting new ones. We'll be doing another soon if you couldn't join us this last time!

This month we’ll be hosting our Annual Pop Up Market on April 9. Join us at the Scout House (1711 Rutland Street) in the Heights from 10 am - 4 pm. We’ll have over 20 members selling and sharing their work, with live demonstrations from two local studios. Be sure to stop by and say hello!

Did you know that by being a member of ClayHouston you have access to Reuse Warehouse? RW receives donated construction and demolition materials like wood, stone, metal, and more. As a non-profit, our members are able to select and take home materials that can be re-used and re-purposed in their artwork. If you’d like access to drop by and pick up materials, send us an email and we can add you to the list.

Would you like to get connected with a clay studio near you? Check out our newly updated webpage with Houston’s studio by location, offerings and services. You can check it out here. If you’re a studio and would like to be added to our list, please fill out this questionnaire and send it to info@clayhouston.org with the subject of ‘Local Classes.’

Lastly, we love when our members want to get more involved. If you have any experience in accounting/bookkeeping, graphic design, or are a social media guru, shoot us an email at info@clayhouston.org.

Cheering you on,

Warmly,

Abbie Edmonson

President
