Who: This event invitation is extended to all ClayHouston members
What: A casual critique of members' work to help brainstorm ideas and troubleshoot
When: Second Monday night from 6PM to 8PM
Where: Art Supply on Main (2711 Main Street #100, Houston, TX 77002)
Why: To establish a community of ceramic artists within Houston
How: Bring your actual work or photos of your work. We will have a laptop and a projector with a VGA cable. You can bring your photos on a cd, thumb drive, etc., or bring a device which can accept a VGA interface. We will not have internet access, so be sure your photos are saved to your device. A ClayHouston member will be there to help with the technology. If you have questions regarding bringing photos or a device, please email Lisa Kelley at email@example.com.
Guest critique leader for the month: Nathan Lindstrom of Nathan Lindstrom Photography. Nathan published his first photo at the age of twelve and has been active in photography ever since. His work has appeared in Sports Illustrated, Fortune, Marie Claire, Texas Highways, ESPN The Magazine, and Forbes. His advertising and corporate photography has been used by General Electric, ExxonMobil, Marine Well Containment Co and Thompson Reuters. Nathan is the president of the American Society of Media Photographers, Houston Chapter. His photographs appear regularly in the bi-annual FotoFest, an international photography exhibition. Along the way, he has also worked in clay. We are delighted to have Nathan's discerning eye guild this critique session.
