During the month of May, ClayTalks will focus on a relaxing evening where we share our work and eat a meal together. Though the time is officially from 7PM-9PM, feel free to come and go as you need for your schedule. Also, remember that all levels of clay experience are welcome! There is no obligation to bring work in order to participate in the events of the evening.
The food for thought question of the evening will be “what inspires you?” You might ponder this idea and come with an answer or two.
Who: This event invitation is extended to all ClayHouston members and their guests
What: A casual critique of members' work to help brainstorm ideas and troubleshoot
When: May 11th (second Monday night) from 7PM to 9PM
Where: Beck’s Prime in the Heights (115 West 19th Street, 77008) in the meeting room upstairs. If you choose to order food or drink, please tell the service counter you will be upstairs with ClayHouston.
Why: To establish a community of ceramic artists within Houston
How: Bring your actual work or photos of your work. We will have a laptop and a projector with a VGA cable. You can bring your photos on a cd, thumbdrive, etc, or bring a device which can accept a VGA interface. A ClayHouston member will be there to help with the technology. If you have questions regarding bringing photos or a device, please email Lisa Kelley at email@example.com.
