ClayTalks will meet in June (second Monday night, June 8th) at Beck's Prime in the Heights. A big thank you to Beck's Prime for hosting our event! Though the time is officially from 7PM-9PM, feel free to come and go as you need for your schedule. All levels of clay experience are welcome! There is no obligation to bring work in order to participate in the events of the evening.
We are going to mix things up in June! Feel free to bring any media for the critique. Also, our food for thought question is "what is something you do in addition to clay as a creative endeavor or activity?" Do you write? Do you hike? Feel free to bring something to our June show and tell!
Who: This event invitation is extended to all ClayHouston members and their guests
What: A casual critique of members' work to help brainstorm ideas and troubleshoot
When: Second Monday night of each month from 7PM to 9PM
Where: Beck's Prime 115 W 19th St, Houston, TX 77008
Why: To establish a community of ceramic artists within Houston
How: Bring your actual work or photos of your work. We will have a laptop and a projector with a VGA cable. You can bring your photos on a cd, thumbdrive, etc, or bring a device which can accept a VGA interface. The library also has wi-fi, so as long as we can connect we can look at online image galleries as well. A Clay Houston member will be there to help with the technology. If you have questions regarding bringing photos or a device, please email Lisa Kelley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
