Daydreaming about Japan? Step into From the Fire: A Study Trip to Himeji, Japan with a guided walkthrough led by the artists themselves. Ten ceramicists reflect on their two-week journey to Himeji, Japan, where they created work using a wood-fueled train kiln and immersed themselves in ceramic traditions. Hear firsthand about the pieces on view, the intensity of the wood-firing process, and the discoveries—both technical and personal—that came out of working side by side in Japan. The walkthrough wraps with an open Q&A- bring a friend, bring your questions, and get inspired with what came from the fire.
